Tomorrow Sareb will attend the 17th Barcelona Meeting Point (BMP), one of the most important real estate fairs in Europe, in order to market 600 residential properties. The majority are located in Catalonia, spread over 19 municipalities of Barcelona and Tarragona.
Most of the Sareb' s portfolio will be marketing at BMP is comprised of new builds. Sareb will be marketing 500 units grouped in 29 new developments on its stand at BMP. Three quarters of the properties are located in Barcelona and represent a wide range of prices, from 62,319 euros for an apartment in the town of Parets del Vallès, up to 689,000 euros for a family home in Cabrils. In Barcelona, new residential properties can be picked up with prices starting at 168,000 euros.
The new build portfolio is rounded off with 73 flats in Alcanar and Tortosa (Tarragona). In this municipality starting prices in a housing development are at 39,400 euros. Sareb is also selling 100 second hand flats located in the province of Barcelona.
Given that BMP also attracts institutional investors, Sareb will also market commercial properties on it's stand, including office buildings, industrial buildings and plots of land, as well as some of the more important projects that the company has launched, including: Crossover, for the sale of land designated for development; Harvest, for country estates; and Paramount, for exclusive homes.
Juan Barba, Director of Real Estate Assets, stated that "Sareb is attending BMP with an offer designed to meet a market showing signs of recovery. With it we hope to emulate the positive reception we received for our residential portfolio at the recent URBE fair, where we received hundreds of inquiries from prospective buyers."
Over the course of the real estate fair, Sareb will participate in various meetings with national and international investors.
Catalonia accounts for approximately 18.5% of Sareb's real estate assets, representing approximately 21.5% of the value of its property portfolio. Overall it owns approximately 13,400 homes, 580 storage units and over 3,300 garages and about 6 million square meters of land in the region. Sareb also holds credits and loans from about 3,900 Catalan firms, mainly SMEs, representing 18% of its portfolio of financial assets.
